We've owned ours for about six months now and it works great. Considering what you're getting with this system the price is actually quite good. It's also very user friendly, set up took only a few minutes. And love the nice clean look without all of the wasted space.
I would recommend it to persons who find the specs/capacity more than adequate for their need.I have not really looked at the upgradeable nature of the system, so if you think that you might out grow what the system comes with, then you should check out its ability to be upgraded. This is a function that this couple finds useful, as they from time to time have online video conversations with their daughter in England with out the hassle of them having to know what to turn on or set up.
Not having a lot of available space was a factor for consideration hence the choice of an All-in-one. Out of the box and set up was extremely user friendly.
This PC was purchased for an older gentleman and his wife. Speakers and video camera is built into the monitor.
The quality and performance of the machine is first class. No extra attachments are necessary.
It really is a nice and attractive looking machine. For the most part is a nice compact high performance system.
The all-in-one PC was easy to set-up and is good looking. The unsightly spaghetti of wires were eliminated. It would be nice if the keyboard and mouse were wireless.
I do think a DVD drive that "pulled" the dvd in would have been better than having to carefully load the pop out tray but that's about all. She's happy so I am happy.
My mom unpacked it and had it running in no time, ready to for on line gaming etc.lol. My wife left all of that to me but she loves the look and operation of the system.
My wife and mom both got this machine at the same time, and to replace the exact same Dell desktops they had at home. It took time to transfer but now my wife has all of her Outlook email dumped into her Windows Email along with 20k+ pics transfered.
Biggest challenge was to figure out how to transfer Outlook and 20k photos from her Dell. That took some time searching on line and trial and error but finally I found a thread on line indicating a special cable for transferring files from another machine(in this case running XP) to the Vaio.
Great specs for the $799 I paid(no tax to boot). It really is a GREAT value.
My whole family loves the Vaio -- it's fast, the graphics are excellent, it's clutter free. The setup was easy.would have given it 5 stars except that whoever set up the Windows defaults chose the primary language as Galician instead of US English -- which caused some frustrating keyboard issues and wasted time to solve the issue.
